Good morning, Salesforce Nerds! If you’re like me, then one of your favorite resources to arm yourself with is a good book! 📚️

Over the years I’ve accumulated a healthy collection of books related to software architecture & engineering - many of which apply to the industry as whole, but we’ll save those for another day! 😉

Today the ChaCha salutes 🫡 the books written for folks like us - Salesforce Nerds looking to expand their knowledge of the platform! 😻

Read on to take your skills to the next level & learn from some of the brightest 😎 in the Ohana !

Four books every Architect needs - Salesforce Edition

This is a must-have for me. Literally. Every. Edition. We’ve advocated for the development framework found within this book already. 💪

The truth is this book contains so much more - packaged apps, strategies for LDV & async processing, integration techniques, etc.. It’s a treasure-trove 🪙 of information for developers & architects working on the platform!

Another staple. Any time I have an upcoming meeting/presentation related to one of the architectural domains within Salesforce, I pull this book up and review it again. 🧠

This book does a great job of breaking down a vast amount 😰 of knowledgebase into organized & digestible pieces of information. Giving you, the architect, a legit handbook you can refer to on a regular basis to understand a specific area of the platform. Top tier stuff! 🤌

The most recent addition to my arsenal. ⚔️ Want to make sure the decisions you’re making in your org right now will scale and be maintainable in the future? This book will give you insights like no other.

My favorite thing about this book is how it presents each anti-pattern. 💓 With a well-thought out business scenario and examples of how a seemingly small wrong turn can lead you down a path to disaster. 🌪️ Then you’re guided to through a set of better solutions. Fantastic resource!

Like an answer to a prayer 🙏 - when I was navigating the quagmire that is Salesforce DevOps this book had just hit the market. So I gobbled it up and I’m so thankful I did! 👍️

I’m in no way a DevOps expert 🚫 and this book helped to bridge the gap between my knowledge of CI/CD and the need to implement real-world CI/CD pipelines for my customers. If you want to understand this subject I can’t recommend this book enough! 💯
