• Salesforce has a new Chief Trust Office, Brad Arkin (ex-Cisco, ex-Adobe), who is replacing Vikram Rao (now at Atlassian). (Fintech Global).

  • ChaCha Takeaway - With Salesforce’s high-level commitment to trust and push to get AI solutions to market, this will be one of the highest visibility Chief Trust Officer roles in the world.

• Cal Henderson is out, and Parker Harris is in as Slack CTO. (Fortune)

  • ChaCha Takeaway - If you’re keeping score at home, the entirety of Slack’s original leadership team has exited, and replaced by Salesforce execs. Slack is an amazing product, but clearly not the perfect fit within Salesforce’s product suite or corporate environment.

• Marc lambasts OpenAI for “stealing” media IP that it used as training data. (Bloomberg)

  • ChaCha Takeaway - Twofold opportunity for Marc- 1) promote high-integrity AI training data, 2) he’s the owner of Time magazine, a media company also susceptible to having their IP stolen.

• Salesforce’s new job board is already under fire for partnering with Ziprecruiter to have the ability 👀 to collect user data without your authorization. (Law - gated)

  • ChaCha Takeaway - the board was clearly backend’d by Ziprecruiter, which, if you’ve used it, is not a great experience. Will be interesting to see if this lawsuit gets anywhere. In the meantime, we don’t track anything in our job board 😊.

• Tableau CEO Ryan Aytay gives an update on the state of Tableau since the 2023 layoffs. (Geekwire)

  • ChaCha Takeaway - Ryan is another former-Salesforce exec who was reassigned to a pricey acquisition after the founding team exited. He says all the right things in this article. Buuuut, is it making you feel warm and fuzzy about Tableau?
