Good morning, Salesforce Nerds!  YAAAAS, it's here!  Baseball has started back up, flowers are starting to bloom, my allergy induced runny nose and headache's are kicking back into gear!  Spring is right around the corner and with it our favorite developer conference - TrailblazerDx!  SalesforceChaCha took a look at the upcoming agenda and outlined the sessions that seemed the most interesting.  If I were able to convince my boss to send me to San Fran for the better part of this week - these are the sessions I would be attending!

For Salesforce Nerds By Salesforce Nerds

TrailblazerDX is the preferred Salesforce event for Salesforce Professionals.  Dreamforce gets all the fanfare and some major celebrity representation but is geared more towards customers.  TrailblazerDX is no slouch in bringing famous people to the forum.  From Stevie Wonder and Lenny Kravitz to Kumail Nanjiani and Fallout Boy this year, DX is always delivers the goods!

Okay, there are SO MANY to choose from.  It was almost impossible to break them all down.  The topics this year are super interesting.  The Well-Architected sessions, Mulesoft, Slack, AWS, Apex, LWC, and of course, AI.  

So here are few sessions, but you should definitely check out the full list of sessions!

⏲️10:00 AM - 11:00 AM PST | TrailblazerDX Main Keynote | I mean, this kinda obligatory. 

⏲️11:30 AM - 12:10 PM PST | Apex Patterns and Best Practices in 2023 | Yes, please!  An understanding of patterns & best practices it must in today's competitive developer market. NGL, I'm hoping for more than "NO SOQL IN A LOOP OR BE AWARE OF THE GOVERNOR LIMIT DRAGONS!"

⏲️12:00 PM - 12:20 PM PST | Expand your Org with Salesforce Functions | Okay, if you don't quite know what Salesforce Functions are then carve out an hour or two today to do some R&D here. This is a feature I've wanted to get my hands on for years!  Be warned, this will be very dev or architect centric.

⏲️12:30 PM - 1:10 PM PST | Power your Lightning Web Components with GraphQL Data Access | Wait, what the heck GraphQL?  I mean, you could Google it or you could just come check out this session.  Seriously tho - this will be an interesting session.  Curious about cutting edge, front-end SF development? 

⏲️2:30 PM - 2:50 PM PST | Explore Apex Design Patterns | I'm all in as soon as I hear DESIGN PATTERNS 😍😍😍 Trying to break into SF dev?  Or maybe upskill?  Design Patterns are defined as a general repeatable solution to a commonly occurring problem. If you answered yes to either of the previous questions you want to have a grasp on these!

⏲️3:00 PM - 3:30 PM PST | The Future of Development with the Salesforce REST APIs | Word, I'm in.  The SF REST API suite is rich and robust.  I'm curious to see their roadmap!

📅 Wednesday, March 8

⏲️10:30 AM - 10:50 PM PST | Deliver Unified Experiences with the Customer 360 Platform | This is one of those sessions where they demo how each of the SF clouds play so nicely together and you walk out feeling good about the future.  There's probably lots of swag too ... stickers, stuffys, maybe a Yeti cup if you're lucky!

⏲️11:30 AM - 12:10 PM PST | Composable Architecture: How to Achieve Agility at Scale | TBH, there are some many sexy, architect buzzwords in this title I just have to watch it.  COMPOSABLE. ARCHITECTURE. AGILITY. SCALE. Every SF architect wants to see how to do this ... in 40 min!

⏲️1:30 PM - 2:15 PM PST | Sandbox Best Practices for Developers | Again - interested in breaking into the dev world at all?  This is a must have skill.  You don't want to be the dev that trashes the pipeline because you don't follow SOP or best practices.

⏲️3:30 PM - 4:10 PM PST | Apex: What's New and What's Coming | Please be Generics.  Please be Generics.  No?  Y'all got any Reflection?? 🤣🤣🤣 Okay, not gonna happen but Salesforce nerd can dream can't he?! I'm just interested in hearing what's in store for Apex in the coming years.  I love coding and this should be a fun session to round out the conference with!
